today, my speech is about talents,in my opionion, talents are indispensable in nowadays society. as is known to all that the fight among countries is actually the fight among talents.
first, i'd like to define the word"talent" in my idea, a talent is one person who is good at or expertised in some or multiple areas. nowadays, as the world developing goes on , if one country want to rank top or do a good job in the world, the country must have many talents.for example, china, the biggest developing country in the world, in the past 100 years, is always invaded by other countries, why ,the reason is that china at that time had not so many talents. if they had anti-intrusion leader talents in the war, needless to say,they would have beat those big powers.if they had talents in weapons manufacturing, nodody dares to provoke us.however, nowadays, it's a totally different situation, china has become powerfulin all over the world, why ? because there are many talents serving the country, the civilians become more and more and more people go to university,more and more people come to receive further education. so what is that in return,talents in army protect our country from invasion, talents in commerce help make our economy keep in improving, talents in aerospace make the world see chinese manned spacecraft flying. talents in sports make china rank the first in the olympic games......
to sum up, talents will play a more and more impoetant role in the world, if one country intends to flourish, he must foster talents as many as they can ,that's all,thank you.

He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master's side. He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer.
He will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounters with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince. When all other friends desert, he remains. When riches take wings, and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens.
If fortune drives the master forth, an outcast in the world, friendless and homeless, the faithful dog asks no higher privilege than that of accompanying him, to guard him against danger, to fight against his enemies. And when the last scene of all comes, and death takes his master in its embrace and his body is laid away in the cold ground, no matter if all other friends pursue their way, there by the graveside will the noble dog be found, his head between his paws, his eyes sad, but open in alert watchfulness, faithful and true even in death.
Ladies and gentlemen,I feel it a great honor to have a chance to give a speech here, talking about the haze weather, which causes lots of bad effects on our health and life. We breathe polluted air, making us suffer from lung and liver diseases. Besides, because of it, the flights have to be canceled. All kind of transports may run into each other, resulting in much damages and lots of injuries.
As far as I am concerned, it is high time that we did something. As individuals, we should ride the underground or buses instead of cars to reduce carbon dioxide. As government, more measures should be taken by carrying out the related law on pollution.
In summary, we’re all looking forward to breathe fresher air and live a happier life. Everyone should be a part of this job.

Good evening everybody! It's my honor to speak here,at first I am going to have a self-introduction. I am an outing girl, from Huang Gang experiment school. and I am very glad to share my topic with you. Then today I'd like to talk something about which is more important. There are many things around our life. Such as time,healthy, money, friends and so on. But which do you think is the most important? time or money. Some people often say:“Money is more important than time.”they think that if people have money. They can buy clothes, foods, drinks, houses, cars, computers and so on. But l don’t think so. Because when time is gone we can't get it back. But we can keep on making more money. We can use time to get money. However we can’t use money to get time. Lost wealth maybe replaced by industry. Lost knowledge by study. Lost healthy by temperance or medicine, but lost time is gone for ever. I cannot afford to waste my time making money. So I think time is more important than money. We must make full use of our time to study and work. Each moment in history is a fleeting time, precious and unique.
Do you love life? Now, my dear friends, carry the sun inside you, and cherish the time that guide you what you want to do. I also have a dream ,but not only a simple one .
When I was a small girl,my dream was that I would be a doctor when I grew up. I will be the first person who produces a new medicine. this kind of medicine can make teachers relax when they are busy correcting their students’ exercises and preparing their lessons. because one day when I woke up at midnight, I found my father, a senior Chinese teacher, was still busy with his work .i was deeply moved. I wish my father could be healthy and relaxed every minute.
But now, I have another dream ,I want to learn English well. I love English , English language is now used everywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on interet and internation trade ning English makes me confident and brings me great pleasure.
Everyday ,I read English following the tapes times, I watch english cartoons the weekend ,I often go to the English corner talking with different people there ,I have made more and more friends as well as improved my oral English . I ’will try my best .

it’s my honor to stand here to make the speech. the topic of my speech is “protect the environment, protect ourselves”。
when i was a little girl, i usually played with my friends in the river in front of our house. it was a small river and the water can just submerge our calf. the river was so clean that its bottom can be seen through the water. the tadpole moved freely in the water. the flowers opened here and there. the birds were singing leisurely. that’s the most beautiful scene in my memory about my childhood.
several years passed, the river is no longer like the past look. when i go back my hometown, the river shocks me. waste paper and used coke cans are discarded everywhere. plastic bags fly in the sky and get caught in the trees when the wind blows. garbage floats in the river and pollute the water. i can even hear the cry of the river,“help! help! ”
now, more and more people realize that humans are to blame for the worsening of the earth’s environment, including the climate change and the environmental pollution. our activities today will have a profound impact on society, not only for us, but for many generations to come.
many scientists proved that the climate warming was caused by burning of fossil fuels in factories, buildings and cars. the sea level rises faster than past decades.
on the other hand, a large amount of waste collected from homes, offices and industries end up in landfills. landfills are a major source of pollution. they contain harmful chemicals that can seep into the soil and make it polluted.
protecting the environment is everyone’s responsibility. firstly, governments should forbid destroying plants, rivers and lakes, oceans, and the atmosphere as well. secondly, voices should be heard to remind the public of the importance of protecting the environment. thirdly, enterprises should pay special attention to the effect they have on the environment and work out solutions to the problems.
only by changing the way we treat the environment can we get along well with it. it’s high time that we unite as one to make up this common cause. no matter young or old, women or men, we are just one people on the lonely planet. protect the environment is to protect ourselves.

Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”。 I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshneof the deep spring of life.

I am happy to have a chance to be here. My topic today is: save water, save ourselves.
As we all know, water is very important to plants and animals as well as to our human beings. As the world population is growing rapidly day by day, more fresh water is needed to feed such a big population. Unfortunately, with the development of economy, factories and vehicles produce poisonous gases or wastes, which results in the pollution of water and deaths of many birds and animals . What’s worse, a great amount of water is over-used in our daily life. Only quite limited fresh water resource is available to human beings. So its high time for us human beings to take quick action to protect water resource. Stop pollution and save water, otherwise, we cannot survive on the earth.
Fortunately, it isnt too late to correct our mistakes. Not only should we protect drinking-water and stop polluting it, but also make full use of it. People are coming to realize the importance of water and try their best to improve the situation. Laws have been made to deal with water pollution. We do hope the river will be clean and the sky will be clear. We believe as long as we make every effort to deal with it, we will make a better world for you and for me.

Opportunities and Challenges
First, I would like to know, what does your destiny offer you? Happiness, wisdom, a strong body or something else. If I had asked this question to president Nixon, he would probably had said,”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity.”
Needless to say, one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2019 Olympic Games. Till now, we have used two sevenths of the preparation time. How much changes have you seen? New roads, new subway lines, public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors, large blocks of grass fields, and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction.
Other than those, there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly. For example, more and more people will get to know China. I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly. And the games will also do good to the economy and environment, for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened. What is more, Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit. Now that we have seen so many advances, could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?
I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China. But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question, ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”
For us, I mean the Chinese youth, 2019 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift. Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us .The society is just like a ship, and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is, but we have never heard of it in our true life. This morning, however, when we wake up, we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand. After chewing, most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games. And mine is to be a “comforter” ----that is someone who will give comfort to others.
At the end of my speech, I hope all the preparation will go well, and everyone will show their ability to the world. Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges.
